Meet the staff

Johnny and Stephanie have been in ministry together for over 20 years and have served as youth pastors at SVCC since November 2012 until January 2023 when they became lead pastors. They have 3 kids, Levi, Hudson and Harper who keep them busy with all their sports and activities. Johnny loves to hunt, rope and do leatherwork in his spare time.

Stephanie has her degree in design and oversees graphics, slides and website for the church. In her free time she loves to go to flea markets, read and play Uber for her kids taking them to all their activities!

Russ and Anna Weaver founded SVCC in 1997 and served as lead pastors until January 2023. Before that, they served as home missionaries for the Assemblies of God in the Rodeo and Horse Racing Industries. Russ cohosts Cowboy Church with Susie McEntire on RFD-TV.  In his spare time, Pastor Russ loves to team rope (heeler), build saddles in his leather shop and play music.

Anna has a heart for making sure our church family is loved and cared for. She loves to garden, do pretty much anything outdoors and spend time with her grandkids. 

Aubrey and Stephanie Whaley are excited to serve as the Children’s Pastors at SVCC. With a passion for helping kids grow spiritually, they create an environment where children can thrive in faith and creativity.

In addition to ministry, they are both business owners and lead with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. As a blended family of four—Khloee, Hadley, Quinn, and Aubrey—they have a unique understanding of today’s family unit and are committed to building relationships, faith, and a sense of belonging within the church community.

Dalton is a pastor's kid and has been in ministry since 2008. He and Bethany married in 2020 and have 3 beautiful girls - Willow, Wendy and Wylie. They both come from big families and have a heart for serving the church and the community!

Dorothea has a gift for details and numbers. She not only takes care of the books for SVCC, but also for the entire state of Arizona's Assemblies of God District.  Her hobbies are sewing and running her AirBnB.

Stacy and her husband, Casey, have 4 grown boys. She has worked at SVCC since 2015 in many different capacities. Her hobbies include crafting, boutique shopping and fostering kids and teens.

Lexy is a wife and mom of 3 little blessings. Her family finally came home to Texas in 2022 and found a church home at SVCC. While her career in property tax keeps her busy, she is passionate about stewarding the next generation and has a deep commitment to Jesus. She takes great delight in caring for your little ones ensuring they are happy, safe and loved.

Ed has a background in music and has played in bands and run sound for most of his adult life. He runs our media, sound and livestream every Sunday morning.
